Our Statement of Faith

We affirm the following statement of faith:

• We believe in one God, the Sovereign Creator and Ruler over all things, who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

• We believe that the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God, and is the final authority for faith and practice.

• We believe that through Adam's original sin, mankind became fully corrupted such that now "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." This sin is our PRIMARY problem in terms of our fallen condition, but also through ongoing sin that "hangs on," and we must continually repent this side of heaven.

• We believe that Jesus Christ is the only Savior of sinners, who died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead on the third day, and that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. There is no other way to heaven except through Him.

• We believe in the Holy Spirit, who convicts us of sin, regenerates us, sanctifies us, comforts us, and enables us to live a life of obedience to God.

• We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the judgment of the living and the dead, and the eternal joy of the redeemed in heaven and the eternal punishment of the lost in hell.

• We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, consisting of all believers and that its mission is to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that Jesus commanded.

• We believe in the visible and imminent return of Christ to judge the living and the dead, and to establish His kingdom on earth, where He will reign forever and ever.

• We believe that God continues to work in this world. He is the God of miracles and His eternal Word is eternally powerful to change us through the ongoing working of His Spirit.

• As Christians, we hold these beliefs as essential to our faith and practice, and we seek to live out these truths in all areas of our lives. We are committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the world, and to living in obedience to His Word, empowered by the Holy Spirit.
